GlyNACET (N-acetyl L-Cysteine Ethyl Ester & Glycine) may help protect the body from free radicals. The well-known NAC n-acetyl cysteine has a bioavailability of about 6% while NACET has a much higher bioavailability of 80%. This makes NACET far superior to NAC 600 mg because of its ability to rapidly enter the cells. Because NACET is lipophilic (fat and water soluble) it does not pool in the stomach and is not hoarded by random cells. This means NACET can be absorbed by red blood cells and can cross the blood-brain barrier. Once NACET enters the cells, it is rapidly transformed into NAC, cysteine, and ultimately glutathione.
